Lisa Almstrom, PTA

Lisa comes to Flaherty PT with a wide variety of experiences that complement the work being done in the clinic. Earlier in her career, Lisa worked for several years in the Worcester Public Schools working with kids from preschool to middle school age. She worked in various classrooms including life skills classrooms doing gross motor groups and one-on-one physical therapy sessions. Her caseload included children with developmental delays, Cerebral palsy, Autism, down syndrome, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, and various genetic disorders.
She also has many years of experience in outpatient physical therapy and has attended several courses. Her experience includes various orthopedic injuries and joint replacements, motor vehicle accidents, worker’s compensation, aquatic therapy, and neuromuscular development with adults and children. She really enjoys integrating manual therapy treatments into her work, especially work with myofascial release, joint mobilizations, cupping and Graston techniques.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and friends. She also loves to golf and ski, walk her Chocolate lab, and do cycling, core and barre classes.
